1 1. On Pioneer models, install the speedometer drive on the right side of the hub with the driving tabs in the hub slots (see Figure 31).  The flat spacer washer goes on the left side of the hub.

12. On 1972 Plonker models, the speedometer drive goes on the left side.

13. Install the front axle through the forks and hub from right to left.  On 1972 Plonker models, the axle goes through from left to right.  Install the flat axle washer and axle nut and tighten finger tight.

 
NOTE: On all models except five­speed Plonkers, there are two flat axle washers.  The thick one is the spacer between the hub and fork leg and the thin one goes under the axle nut.
