HEADLIGHT SERVICE

1. Early models of the Pioneer used a six volt bulb instead of the sealed beam found in more current machines.  If the bulb or sealed beam is burned out, service is the same, since the bulb should be replaced with the sealed beam for better lighting.
2. Loosen the screw clamping the chrome ring on the front of the headlight unit and spread the ends as shown in Figure 14.  The wiring connector can then be disconnected and the defective unit removed.  Replace the sealed beam with a 40/20 unit available from your Ossa dealer.  Reconnect the wiring and fit the rubber ring securely around the unit and replace in the headlight shell.  If both chrome rings have been removed, note that they fit properly with their flat edges facing each other.
3. Aim the headlight by loosening the bolts holding the headlight shell to the mounts on the fork tubes.  Specifications vary from state to state so get your dealer's advice if there is any doubt.
